What You Need to Know: Virtual Manufacturing Innovation Summit

New this year, MANTEC’s Manufacturing Innovation Summit will tell the stories of manufacturers that have succeeded through innovation. The keynote speakers will be Zippo and Eight Oaks Farm Distillery.

Here’s What You Need To Know:

Engage– This conference will have live and recorded content! Our keynote and special addresses will be live. These sessions will be designed to engage with the expert presenters!

Discover– Virtual plant tours from across Pennsylvania will be available on demand during the conference and for the month following. You can login and watch the tours at whatever time is convenient for you! This is a great chance to learn about companies that maybe outside of your immediate area.

Network– There will also be small group optional networking opportunities. Choose the video meet-up that makes the most sense to you and come prepared to discuss topics led by our expert advisors. Attendees will be provided with session prompts prior to the virtual networking. The size of these sessions will be limited in order for attendees to really be able to connect with one another. As you enter the Zoom meeting, you will be asked which topic area you’re interested in and you will be able to join that room.

Virtual Happy Hour– Join us for a virtual mixology session with Eight Oaks Farm Distillery. Attendees will receive as part of their registration (must be 21 years of age and live in the state of Pennsylvania) craft spirits from Eight Oaks Farm Distillery. Attendees will also receive all the additional ingredients that they need to mix their own cocktail at home! Join us at happy hour with your ingredients ready to shake, stir, and sip a craft cocktail while you network with the other attendees.

Summit Swag Box– Register by March 9th to receive a Summit swag box with items from our sponsors, speakers, and a printed program of the event! This box will also include the ingredients needed for the cocktail mixology. Participants will receive a separate shipment from Eight Oaks Farm Distillery containing their Penna Rye Whiskey.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When is the deadline to register?
March 9th! If you want to take full advantage of the conference, you need to register by March 9th to guarantee that Summit SWAG box and the craft spirits can be shipped to you in time.

Will I have to sit in front of a computer for the whole day?
No! That would be terrible! We took the content and broke it out the sessions throughout the afternoon giving you time in between to stretch your legs.

Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes! The live content sessions will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure for up to a month after the event. We understand that sometimes you have scheduling conflicts, but still want access to the valuable content. The virtual tours will be available on demand so you can watch them at your leisure.

Is the networking in person?
No, all of the events will be held virtually. The networking breakout rooms will give you a chance to video chat with other professionals in your field in a semi-structured environment. As you enter the virtual room, you will be asked which room you’d like to join. In the room, you’ll find other professionals interested in the same topic as you. We encourage participants to come prepared to chat. To facilitate this, participants will receive an email with topics they can expect to talk about and are encouraged to bring their own questions. This is a great chance to pick the brains of other outstanding manufacturers.

Can I attend more than one networking room?
Yes, but they will be happening simultaneously. We recommend attending networking mingles that apply to you and your position. For example, if you are a plant manager, this may mean that you attend the Process Improvement. The networking rooms will be happening simultaneously on the same Zoom call. If you’d like to join a different room, you can leave the one you’re in and request to join a different topic.
