WEDnetPA Made Simple: Training Funds for Pennsylvania Manufacturers

Learn how your company may be able to offset the cost of employee training through WEDnetPA.

Training is one of the most important investments a manufacturer can make, but understanding available funding options can sometimes feel overwhelming. This informational webinar is designed to help South Central Pennsylvania manufacturers better understand WEDnetPA, how the program works, and how to begin the application process.

MANTEC will be joined by Angela Hensley from Kutztown University and CJ Ezell from Shippensburg University, two WEDnetPA partners who regularly support manufacturers through the program. They will provide an overview of WEDnetPA, explain what types of training may qualify, and walk through the steps companies should take when applying for funding.

WEDnetPA provides eligible Pennsylvania companies with funding support for job skills training. An individual employee can qualify for up to $2,000 in job skills training, with training taking place during the July 1 through June 30 fiscal year. Company participation limits and eligibility requirements apply.

About WEDnetPA:

WEDnetPA is Pennsylvania’s incumbent workforce training program designed to help companies strengthen employee skills through job training. The program works through a statewide network of partners that assist companies with assessing training needs, developing training plans, and applying for funding.

For eligible companies, WEDnetPA may reimburse certain training costs after training is completed and documentation is submitted. Shippensburg University summarizes the process as: apply, train, and invoice, with training completed between July 1 and June 30 and documentation submitted after completion.
