The Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) focuses on results and outcomes. Because MANTEC is funded in part by grants from the US Department of Commerce and the Pennsylvania Department of Economic and Community Development, we must report numeric values of the services provided to our clients. This is done through a client survey. Since 1996, MEP has used an independent third-party organization to administer these surveys.
The survey has 15 questions and takes an average of 10 minutes to complete. The survey asks clients about the challenges they face, benchmarks their experience (net promoter score) with MANTEC, and records the financial impact they have achieved on these key bottom-line outcomes and impacts:
- Dollar value of increased/retained sales
- Number of jobs created/retained
- Dollar value of cost savings on investments made or avoided
- Dollar value of cost savings in labor, material, overhead, inventory, energy, etc.
Clients only need to complete one survey per year. However, clients may be surveyed for multiple projects and should therefore consider the collective impact they have achieved from working with MANTEC. Due to the long timeframe of some implementations, significant numerical impact may not be identified for some time. Therefore, clients may be surveyed six to 18 months after the project officially ”closes.” Clients who are selected to participate will receive a unique survey link from support@mepclientsurvey.com All questionnaire responses are confidential and unaudited.
If you’re a client and have questions about your survey or the process, please connect with Linda Grove via email or at 717-843-5054.
