What You Need to Know: Virtual SMART Manufacturing Conference

MANTEC’s annual conference focusing on manufacturing best practices is now virtual!

The content is broken up over two days rather than one long, packed day of staring at a screen. Each day, there will be two live streamed content events- either keynotes, special addresses, or a panel discussion in addition to optional networking opportunities

Here’s What You Need To Know:

Engage– This conference will have live and recorded content! Our keynote and special addresses will be live. These sessions will be designed to engage with the expert presenters!

Discover– The sessions that traditionally would have been breakout sessions will now all be available as pre-recorded content AND there will be a live panel discussion with the presenters. They will be available prior to the opening of the conference and for a month after. Now, rather than having to choose two of the content sessions, you will access to all four!

Network– There will also be small group optional networking opportunities. Choose the video meet-up that makes the most sense to you and come prepared to discuss topics led by our expert advisors. Attendees will be provided with session prompts prior to their virtual mingle. The size of these sessions will be limited in order for attendees to really be able to connect with one another.

There will also be the opportunity to stretch fresh mozzarella with Rynn Caputo after her keynote! As an add on, we will ship you the ingredients you need stretch your own tasty treat at home during a live demonstration with Rynn!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will I have to sit in front of a computer for two whole days?
No! That would be terrible! We took the content that we usually pack into a single afternoon and broke it out across two days with breaks in between sessions. Without networking events, attendees will have two live seminars each day. If you attend a networking mingle or the mozzarella stretching, those are an additional hour of time each.

Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes! The live content sessions will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure for up to a month after the event. We understand that sometimes you have scheduling conflicts, but still want access to the valuable content.

Can I attend more than one networking mingle?
Yes, we recommend attending networking mingles that apply to you and your position. If you are a plant manager, this may mean that you attend the Process Improvement Mingle and the Leadership Mingle. The mingles are limited in size to allow participants to allow attendees to connect so register early if you want to be sure to get a spot!

Are the networking mingles in person?
No, all of the events will be held virtually. The networking mingles will give you a chance to video chat with other professionals in your field in a semi-structured environment.
