LEAN for Business Processes helps companies with any type of administrative function to streamline information flow--the gathering, improving, movement and storage of information. Just like LEAN for the factory floor, LEAN for Business Processes focuses on reducing total cycle time--in this case, the time between orders being placed and when payments are received. Basic process mapping techniques will also be taught and immediately applied to a simulated office process to identify waste and develop improvement plans. Emphasis will be placed on cross-functional process mapping.
This full-day workshop combines classroom instruction with interactive live simulation where class participants take on the roles of managers and workers within an office.
Flow represents the efficiency by which customer interest is turned into customer satisfaction. Flow encompasses all areas of a business, not just production. To achieve maximum gain, flow must occur across the LEAN enterprise. During this workshop you will learn how LEAN concepts apply to the non-production areas such as procurement, accounting, and order processing.
Administrative activities are often a major percentage of the total throughput time in many organizations. This workshop helps companies to identify opportunities for productivity improvements in the office. To focus solely on production activities results in less than expected benefits when the goal of an organization is to be a LEAN Enterprise, not just a LEAN Manufacturer.
